In 1986 I was initiated into the Hindu priesthood and currently I am a pujari, or perhaps you could say - a "puja arttist" - in the Los Angeles yoga community. My pujas and sacred ritualas combine ancient Vedic and Tantric traditions with contemporary ritual created for the modern yogi, devotee, or kirtan walla in mind. Each month I lead puja at Aanand Saagar yoga studio in Venice. Recently I had the honor of performing the opening and closing pujas at Bhakti Fest 2010.
